Privacy Policy

Remember This, Mate is an iOS application developed and operated by Serious Fish ("we", "us", or "our"). If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy, please contact us at support@seriousfish.com.

We collect the following types of information when you use Remember This, Mate:

• Account information: Your email address, used to create and manage your account.
• Item data: Names, descriptions, tags, and notes you enter for items you track in the app.
• Location data: Geographic coordinates you choose to associate with your items. This is only collected when you explicitly set a location for an item — we do not track your location in the background.
• Photos: Images you optionally attach to items. These are uploaded to our secure cloud storage.
• Usage data: Basic usage logs used to diagnose errors and improve the app. This does not include the content of your items.

We use your information solely to provide and improve the app:

• To create and manage your account and authenticate you securely.
• To store, sync, and retrieve your items across your devices.
• To display item locations on the in-app map.
• To send essential account emails (e.g., password resets, email verification).
• To diagnose technical issues and improve app performance.

We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to operating the app.

Your data is stored using Supabase, a secure cloud platform. Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Authentication uses industry-standard JWT tokens with automatic refresh.

Photos are stored in Supabase Storage and are accessible only to your authenticated account.

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure — if you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately.

We use the following third-party services to operate the app:

• Supabase (supabase.com) — backend database, authentication, and file storage. See Supabase Privacy Policy.
• Apple MapKit — map display within the app. Apple's privacy policy applies to MapKit usage.

We do not share your personal data with any other third parties.

Remember This, Mate requests access to your device's location only when you actively set a location for an item. Location data is:

• Only collected with your explicit action (tapping "Update Location" and confirming).
• Stored as latitude/longitude coordinates associated with your item.
• Never collected passively or tracked in the background.
• Never shared with third parties.

You can deny or revoke location permission in iPhone Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → Remember This, Mate. You can still set item locations manually by panning the map.

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. If you delete an item, it is removed from our servers. If you delete your account, all associated data — including items, photos, and location data — is permanently deleted within 30 days.

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate data.
• Delete your account and all associated data.
• Export your data on request.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at support@seriousfish.com. We will respond within 30 days.

Remember This, Mate is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
